To/From Airport

Hong Kong International Airport is easily accessible by Airport Express, Public Buses, Taxis, Hotel Coaches, and more.


Airport Express

Airport Express train is the most efficient means of travel to the airport. It serves four stations: Asia World-Expo, Tsing Yi, Kowloon and Hong Kong. Trains are quick and comfortable, departing every ten minutes from 05:54 to 23:28 and twelve minutes from 23:28 to 00:48 daily.


Trains have plenty of luggage space to ensure maximum comfort for passengers. Wifi is also available on all trains.

At the Hong Kong and Kowloon stations, visitors can take advantage of the In-Town Check-In service as early as one day before their flight departure. This helps passengers stay luggage free arriving at the airport. Please note that not all airlines are available for check-in and only some allow day before check-in.

The journey durations to and from the airport are as follows:

Hong Kong**: 24 minutes
Kowloon*: 21 minutes
Tsing Yi*: 13 minutes

*Interchange station with MTR Tung Chung Line
**Accessible by MTR Central Station

Tickets can be purchased from the Airport Express Customer Service Centres at the airport or from any MTR station Customer Service Centre. They can also be purchased from ticket machines in the areas mentioned earlier.

Airport Express Shuttle Bus



Passengers can enjoy free shuttle bus services  from Kowloon or Hong Kong stations to and from major hotels and transport destinations. For more information, visit the MTR website here.


Public Buses

Comfortable and affordable, public buses are a convenient option. Most areas of Hong Kong have bus services to and from the airport. From Arrivals Hall at the airport, walk 3 minutes to the bus terminus at Ground Transportation Centre, from where buses depart at scheduled times. Taxis

Taxis are easily accessible at the Taxi Station outside Arrivals Hall. Color-coded by area, there are three types of taxis and all serve the airport. Urban taxis are red and serve all destinations throughout Hong Kong including the airport except Tung Chung Road and roads in south Lantau New Territories taxis are green and serve the New Territories and certain roads in Lantau Lastly, Lantau taxis are blue and serve in all of Lantau and the airport. Hotel Coaches

Hotel coaches serve major hotels in Kowloon and Hong Kong, and depart from the coach station in Terminal 2 at the airport. To use this service, purchase tickets at the counters near the coach station in Terminal 2, in the Arrivals Hall in Terminal 1, or from hotel’s concierge.. Coaches depart every 30 minutes from the airport.

Special Needs
