About Me
I joined the Conrad Hong Kong right after I graduated. I’ve worked almost exclusively in concierge services, starting as a bell boy. I am now responsible for valet and airport guest services
Off work, I enjoy water sports of all kinds. I love swimming, scuba diving, canoeing – in which I competed when I was younger, windsurfing, you name it. These days I don't get out on and in the water nearly as much as I have children to take care of.
Favourite Hong Kong Activity :
Trying out local food at tucked-away shops serving specialty cuisines. One popular specialty here is cart noodles ; I especially like Man Kee Cart Noodles (121 Fu Wing Street, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon).
Tap Mun, or Grass Island in English, is a small island off the Sai Kung Peninsula, a bit out of the way to get to but well worth it. You can easily walk around the island in an hour. A traditional fishing village near the ferry pier still maintains the old way of life and there are a few stores and restaurants. Be sure to try the fried rice with local sea urchin roe. To get there, take either a ferry from Ma Liu Shui or a bus from Sai Kung town to Wong Shek Pier, and then it's a 30-minute kaito ferry ride.
Bonus Recommendation :
Take a self-guided trip exploring Central, including Tai Kwun, our latest heritage and arts centre.
Take the tram, it’s cheap and a Hong Kong icon.
Extra Tip
I love beef, especially beef brisket noodles. My favourite shop is Kwan Kee Clear Soup Beef Brisket in Tai Po (26 Tai Ming Lane, Tai Po). Most of the guests I recommend it to love it. You can visit the Railroad Museum and the Tai Po waterfront park nearby to fill out a half-day visit.
Last Advice:
Because of the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, some events and activities may be cancelled. Please check with your concierge for the latest updates.
