I.T: Global Fashion Powerhouse

It’s hard to imagine that this global fashion conglomerate began its business in a 200-square-foot shop. In less than 30 years, I.T has established itself as a powerhouse and is now listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The success is driven by a distinctive vision to incorporate fashion into a modern lifestyle and the passion to remain true to its beliefs - quality, focus and foresight.
 
 
 
 
Last year, a fashion design competition was organised by Hong Kong fashion brand izzue and Tsinghua University to promote creative exchanges of young designers around the world. Entitled “izzue X TSINGHUA Fashion Design Award 2014”, the competition was supported by several prestigious fashion design institutions including the Academy of Art & Design, Tsinghua University, Hong Kong Design Institute, Parsons The New School for Design, Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design, the Royal College of Art and École Nationale Supérieure Des Art Décoratifs. Twelve contestants from China, France, England and the US were chosen to compete for the final competition. Each was asked to create a unique fashion piece within hours for the final competition and award presentation ceremony held at Tsinghua Visual Art Centre.
 
 
          
 
 
Nurturing local designers has always been part of I.T’s passion to promote talent, by introducing a platform for young hopefuls to pave their way onto the global stage. Such eagerness is largely driven by its humble beginnings.
 
 
I.T began as a small clothing shop in 1988 with a big vision - introducing fresh and fun fashion styles that were not available in Hong Kong. It was quickly noticed by niche fashion lovers who wanted to make a statement about their character and individuality.
 
 
 
 
Today, I.T operates in over 50 cities worldwide. The brand takes a unique multi-brand, multi-layer business model with a multi-channel approach in developing distinctive multibrand stores and single-brand shops catering specifically to well-defined groups of fashion lovers in targeted regions. This formula has won the trust of other respected brands around the world to join hands with I.T to develop exclusive labels in different countries. The business has expanded spectacularly over the years, setting footprints in many parts of Asia, Europe and elsewhere. In 2005, I.T was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. With more than 750 shops and growing, I.T has established itself as one of Asia’s most successful fashion empires.
 
 
 
 
 
While expanding across the globe, the company has not forgotten its roots. In addition to I.T which plays home to the more sophisticated labels, izzue, b+ab and double-park were invented, with each possessing a characteristic style appealing to different age groups and preferences. While izzue is the place for younger shoppers looking for niche and edgy casual wear, double-park is more about casual street-wear. You can also find a wide range of ladies fashion at b+ab stores.
 
 
 
 
 
 
I.T is looking forward to exploring more collaborations with respected and rising labels. At the same time, it will continue to discover and nurture talented local designers through various fashion events.
