2020 Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival - Go Live!

This month, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival goes online the first time ever, chock-full of wine and gourmet offerings and activities.

Good news for wine lovers and foodies alike! The Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival is on this year with a digital roar. The 2020 edition, which is being held online for the first time, and with participation by hundreds of wine merchants and restaurants , aims to be just as enticing as real-life events with a prolific line-up of web- based activities taking place from 11 November to 15 December. This year, the festival offers participants the excitement of discovering new and classic wines, time- tested and innovative gourmet recipes, attractive gastronomical offers, and participation in onlineninteractive experiences from the comfort of their homes, and at their leisure.

The Festival's programme comprises four enthralling epicurean categories. They include the Online Wine Cellar, which is everything you want to know and taste about wine, whiskies and other drinks; Online Masterclasses, which offers entertaining and interactive cook-along workshops and talks on food and drink; Great Offers Great Feast, which is jam-packed with dining offers ranging from popular local street food to Michelin-starred restaurants plus What's Hot, which features enticing articles and video clips on local dining experiences, local gins/craftbeer selections, good deals , etc.

Online Wine Cellar

Browse and discover choice selections, weekly hot deals and recommendations from over 100 wine and spirit merchants. This platform showcases their highlighted drinks and provides a shortcut to their online platforms for enquiry and orders. Visitors can also participate in an online auction for discerning connoisseurs to acquire exquisite wines.

Online Masterclasses

The festival is streaming more than 30 enlightening programmes on its online platform, from noon till evening during the three festival weekends (21-22 November, 28-29 November and 5-6 December). All programmes are free to view.

The masterclasses highlight

Highlights of the masterclasses cover a wide range of topics from fine dining, lifestyle trends and healthy eating, food art and plating. For a totally enthralling experience, join in the cook-along programmes where you can order the tailor-made ingredients kit and have it delivered to your door the day before the workshop. Opt to follow the chef live and interact with the chef and other participants. And, whether you are a novice wine drinker or a sommelier in waiting, there is the right wine talk just for your enjoyment. These talks offer absorbing and engaging topics that range from themed wine-tasting classes to featured guest speakers. Guest speakers will share the secrets of shaking up the perfect cocktail, so you can host like an accomplished mixologist. Participants can watch a live demo loaded with tips and interactive dialogue to share ideas with the audience. You can also watch playback of all these programs at your convenience.
