Central Market
Central Market, a beloved historical landmark that was closed and has sat empty for 18 years, finally reopened on 23 August to much fanfare after an extensive renovation. Located in the heart of Central and entry point to the Mid-levels Escalator System, the redeveloped building is destined to be a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Managed by the Chinachem Group under a 10-year operating lease, the three-storey building houses souvenir and novelty shops, fashionable and popular F&B outlets, a niche supermarket and sitting area. Under the theme of “Playground for All”, the redeveloped building is set to regain its landmark status.
