This critically acclaimed new play recounts the exploits of Confucius, one of the most influential philosophers in Chinese history, who spent 14 years travelling through China’s warring states to preach his political and moral wisdom to the warlords. The lines and lyrics in the script are based on texts from the Analects – a compilation of Confucius’ teachings dating back almost 2,000 years.
