Shake 'em Buns, the Southern American burger shop on Wellington Street have been serving up some of the best-loved homemade burgers in Hong Kong since they set up shop back in June 2006. Tim Lau, the mastermind behind some of Hong Kong’s hottest foodie destinations such as Moonshine & Po Boys and Com Banh Mi has loved every minute of the last 10 years with Shake ‘em Buns perfecting their specialised burgers. They use 21-day aged Spanish Galician Beef and American Black Angus beef paired with fresh buns from a local artisan bakery in Hong Kong, proving it's not your average takeaway diner – it's more than just fast-food. Each burger on the menu is loaded with a host of different ingredients, ranging from the usual suspects – cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions – to the less-used pineapple and green peppers. Of course, no burger would be complete without a massive plate of sides. Choose from the fantastically Louisiana Cajun Fried Chicken, Seafood Boil Fried Chicken with garlic butter.
This year, in celebration of their 10th anniversary, they brought back their all-time favourite classics alongside an extra measure of sauciness to show Hong Kong they’ve still got what it takes to retain its crown as one of the city's best burger joints. That’s not all! They even threw the first eve Burger Street Party in Hong Kong on 15th June, which was a huge success!
