Little Creatures Brewery Keeps the City Hopping

Hong Kong’s craft brew enthusiasts rejoiced when Little Creatures opened its Kennedy Town doors in July. Born out of a love affair with hoppy beer and founded amongst the creative free thinking culture of Fremantle, Australia, Little Creatures is a brewery passionate about crafting fresh, distinctive, well-balanced beers. Their introduction to Hong Kong’s vibrant craft culture is indeed a welcome celebration.

“Little Creatures is very excited to be joining Hong Kong’s local craft community. There is a great deal of opportunity for us to share our passions for full-flavoured beer and help grow and shape craft beef in the region much the same way we did in Australia,” says Matt Tapper, Managing Director of Lion Global Markets.

The Story

The Little Creatures story begins with their award-winning classic American Pale Ale. The creation of the flagship pale ale reflects Little Creatures’ founding philosophy – distinctive product with a creative and expressive personality. Only carefully selected whole fresh hops are used to give this beer its super hoppy, full-bodied and flavoursome qualities. Over the years, their pale ale has set the benchmark for pale ales in Australia and is considered the beer that began the country’s love affair with craft brewing. Today, Little Creatures offers ten permanent beers and a variety of seasonal beers across six outlets throughout Australia.

Kennedy Town Launch

Little Creatures arrives in Hong Kong riding on a wave of the city’s burgeoning market for locally crafted fresh beers. The Kennedy Town site not only showcases a fully functional microbrewery, an exceptional menu of modern and vibrant cuisine is also offered – making this microbrewery and restaurant a relaxed, family-friendly respite from Hong Kong’s hectic backdrop. The holistic approach to crafting Little Creatures’ beers can also be said of their approach to building a community. Each Little Creatures brewery and restaurant has become a cornerstone of community life wherever they are, offering a rich cultural and social experience for new and existing beer lovers. The brewers are at the heart of each establishment, pouring their unique personalities and expertise into each and every glass.

What to Expect

Craft enthusiasts can enjoy up to three kinds of specialty beers brewed onsite including the original Pale Ale and a full range of their bottled beers. Expect a host of seasonal beers and special collaborations with other local craft brewers in the future.
