Legacy Continues — Cafe Deco Grand Opening at The ONE

Cafe Deco Group announced the grand opening of its flagship restaurant, Cafe Deco on 2 September 2016. Located on the entire 20th floor, at The ONE Tsim Sha Tsui, customers can enjoy a striking panoramic skyline of Hong Kong at its famous Victoria Harbour. The 190-seat and over 6,000 square feet that draws on the Cafe Deco heritage of art deco for a classic ambiance that stretches across the level with open oyster bar and lively lobster tank, an authentic tandoori oven, cocktail bar and intimate dining tables with a breathtaking view.  

The Executive Chef, Mr. Martin Kniss, and his talented team will continue to bring along their culinary signatures dishes such as Cafe Deco tapas selection, oysters, tandoori Himalayan chicken, Australian Angus beef and American ribeye to the new Cafe Deco to symbolise its 2 decades of strong tradition.

 

Brand New Dishes by Executive Chef

To celebrate the new opening, Executive Chef, Mr. Martin Kniss, has created an array of exciting new relishes to the menu including the Whole Canadian Live Lobster from our Lobster Tank (1.5 lbs per piece) ($488), with several variations of cooking styles for gourmands to choose - Grilled Lobster with Black Truffle Hollandaise and Mash Potatoes, Wok-fried Lobster with Ginger and Scallions, Baked Lobster ‘Thermidor with Cheddar, Mushrooms and Onions, and Chinese-Style EggWhite Steamed Lobster with fragrant Chicken Oil.

The highlight of our new dishes is Linz Heritage Angus” Double Tomahawk Roast (50-58oz) ($2388), expertly grilled in high temperature to retain its juiciness and texture, and its crispy skin envelops the velvety soft meat. To embark the ultimate high-end beef experience, the menu also offers USDA Prime Beef and Australian Black Angus Steaks to our beef lovers, from $258 to $498. All our steaks are served with provençale tomato and a choice of shiraz pepper jus or sauce béarnaise.

The new signature menu items also include La Genovese - Neapolitan Beef and Onion Sauce Garganelli Pasta ($186). It is a wonderful pasta Bolognaise alternative, topped and baked with parmigiano reggiano. Alternatively, for the first time in Hong Kong, we are proud to bring you Thali, from $248 to $318, from our menu in a new and modern dining setting. Thali simply means a round platter used to serve food. In India, the ideal behind this is to please the palate with 5 different flavours of sweet, salty, bitter, sour and spicy in one single plate. According to the heritage custom, a proper meal should be a celebration of all these flavours.

 

The Semi-buffet Sunday Brunch

Apart from the new signature dishes, Cafe Deco presents an extraordinary Semi-buffet Sunday Brunch.  The Sunday Brunch experience is broken up into a series of courses from a seafood appetizer buffet bar, a selection of all-time favourite seasonal special main courses to a seasonal desserts platter for share. 

The Semi-buffet Sunday Brunch operates from 11:30am to 3pm and features with live entertainment, $398 for adult and $150 for children between 4 to 11 years old, and all children under the age of 4 is free of charge.
