LIS Café

The area of Wong Chuk Hang in Aberdeen on the south side of Hong Kong Island is fast gaining a reputation as a new ‘in’ destination, home as it is to numerous local art galleries, design and architectural firms in addition to the nearby Ocean Park. The stylish L’hotel Island South, located at its heart, is well known as a gathering place, with its restaurant LIS Café, its focal point. The spacious restaurant is ideal for group gatherings and celebrations.

LIS Café offers a nightly buffet serving a sumptuous selection of regional and international cuisines. Specifically, from now till 30 September, it is promoting “Spiced it up” Dinner Buffet (Adult $438, Child and Senior $238, Mon-Thur; and Adult $458, Child and Senior $258, Fri-Sun and eve of Public Holidays) in which Sichuan cuisine dishes are added to the buffet menu. These include Marinated Sliced Pork with Garlic Paste, Sichuan Wontons in Red Oil, the popular Sichuan Dan Dan Noodles, Chicken in Sichuan Chile Oil Sauce, and Sichuan Boiled Fish.

The buffet also offers other gourmet items including chilled seafood such as Snow Crab Legs, Fresh Oysters, Icelandic Prawns and Assorted Sashimi, BBQ meats, and a range of dessert and ice-cream delicacies. Considering the variety of food offered, the price represents excellent value for money.

If you visit the south side of the island, a dinner at LIS Café is highly recommended.
