Nice Yakiniku & Fine Wine

The City’s latest fine-dining addition, Nice Yakiniku & Fine Wine, is sure to excite connoisseurs of quality steaks and premier wines. Founded on the owner’s love and passion for steak and premium wine, Nice Yakiniku & Fine Wines serves the very finest cuts of beef from all over the world including award-winning Australian M9+ Wagyu, available in ribeye and fillet, Japanese Wagyu from Tamba known for its flavour, tenderness and marbling, plus other rare cuts including tritip, flat iron and blade steaks. All the meat plus other à la carte entrees are prepared and presented Japanese style, with the orders grilled on a Japanese white charcoal (Binchotan) grill reaching up to 1,000 degrees Celsius.

The restaurant’s wine collection is equally impressive, with an outstanding collection of French Bordeaux wines include Haut-Brion, Latour, Lafite Rothschild, and Calon-Ségur. The décor is dominated by an elegant and cosy sushi-style bar where guests are served at the counter; a private dining room is also available for parties and gatherings.

For our tasting, we sampled Beef Triangle Tip ($148), Chuck Flap Tai ($278) plus Japan Surf Clam ($198) and Grilled Okra ($68), accompanied by two wines, a 2005 Calon-Ségur St. Estephe, which can be served in a glass ($500/glass) and the 2000 Pontet-Canet Pauillac ($2,500/bottle).

Nice Yakiniku & Fine Wine has already drawn rave reviews and attracted a following of local celebrities and socialites for its food, wine and hospitality, and more accolades are sure to follow. Be sure to check it out and treat yourself to a special dining experience.
