Artisan Lounge

The recently opened Artisan Lounge, located in arty luxury mall K11 Musea, is redefining gourmet lounge dining in the city that is already famous for its glittering list of premium lounge F&B outlets.

The lounge is located in the mall's grand atrium, directly beneath the signature gold ball hanging high above. Artisan Lounge is decked out in burgundy and metallic bronze, its design concept inspired by an elegant stately manor. The picturesque outlet throws up Instagrammable spots everywhere you look.

The restaurant is an all-day café with a full menu. Of special note is its Afternoon Tea ($690 for two) which includes savouries such as Caviar Cube, Challan Duck Bao, classic Scones and sweet dessert bites such as Sweet Burger of Macaron and Fresh Fruit, French Pink Marshmallow, Ruby Chocolate from Belgium and Chocolate Magnum Bar. The tea set is stylishly suspended from a bronze arc.

Artisan Lounge also serves a fine collection of cocktails, craft beers, bubblies and wines. We tried Lov is Zen ($68), a teabased craft beer, Emperor ($138), a sweet cocktail made from Chinese yellow wine and Hand Drop Artisanal Coffee ( $95-$175), made from select coffee beans, and all hit the spot.

The food is excellent too. The menu offers several items inspired by classic comfort food, including Fan Guan Barbequed Iberico Pork Loin with Fried Egg and Rice ($208) which is a much-refined version of the popular chau siu fan; Japanese Inaniwa Udon in Rich Fish Broth ($298) and Artisan Burger ($258) made with premium Australian beef patty. For

dessert, the Caramelized Banana Mille Feuille ($128) golden chocolate, golden crumble is also excellent.
