Eye Bar

Eye Bar, located on the terrace area atop the iSquare commercial complex in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui, is one the city's most popular hotspots. The bar combines unparalleled views of the city with great drinks and snacks, and is our watering hole for this month.

A sister outlet to Nanhai No.1, a destination restaurant serving contemporary Chinese dishes, Eye Bar offers airy spaces inside and a large, open-air terrace that takes any visitor's breath away. The views, by day or night, are gorgeous and spectacular . It is as good as it gets.

Eye Bar serves a wide array of its own cocktails, as well as specialty beers, fine whiskies and other liquors, and quality old and new world wines.

Perhaps the best time to visit the bar is late afternoon when you can settle in to enjoy first the sunset and then the glittering night views that unfold.

For cocktails, we had several refreshing citrus-flavoured drinks. The Passion Fashion ($120) – Stolichnaya Vodka, passion fruit mix with peach and a touch of white wine – is good. Apple Sangria ($120), which mixes apple brandy and gewürztraminer white wine, is also nice. Cucumber Mojo, a sake and plum wine-based cocktail, rounded out our drinks.

Eye Bar patrons can order tasty snacks from the Nanhai No. 1 kitchen. We tried Fried Crispy Squid ($98), Conch with Wasabi Sauce ($88), Duck's Tongue tossed with XO Chili Sauce ($88) – which is addictive, and the highly original Crispy Tofu with Sichuan Chili ($168), which was excellent.

Eye Bar is currently offering several promotions. The Friday night special at $180 per person serves up three large glasses of wine per label. For a large party, you can opt for $700 / three bottles, more than 50% off the original price. From Sunday to Thursday, there is a free flow 3-hour package at $268 per person – all excellent value deals and a wonderful way to spend a most pleasant evening.
