Tsui Hang Village’s 40 Years of Cantonese Culinary Excellence – For the Love of Char Siu

What’s not to love about char siu, or barbecued pork, the sweet, tender, succulent meat with slightly charred edge? Celebrating its 40-year milestone, Tsui Hang Village presents the favorite Cantonese roast meat in a series of prized recipes ranging from dim sum delicacies, main dishes to specialty rice served with pork lard and soy sauce. The love of char siu promotion runs from 12 May to 20 June at all three Tsui Hang Village outlets in Causeway Bay, Central and Tsimshatsui.

With 40 years of experience in Cantonese roast meat, the char siu of Tsui Hang Village is affectionately known as the best-loved version in the city, thanks to the use of meticulously selected pork shoulder meat with the perfect lean-to-fat ratio, that is “30% fat and 70% lean”; and the secret honey soy sauce recipe that gives the pork a sweet, shiny glaze. The daily fresh-roasted char siu at Tsui Hang Village is uniquely served with a side of nostalgia – homemade honey-glazed beans marinated with herbs and star anise. For the love of char siu, Brand Chef Jacky Chan has crafted a special menu blending classic Cantonese cooking and innovative twists to showcase the signature delicacy of Tsui Hang Village.
