Bulgari Opened a New Flagship Store on Canton Road

Legendary Italian jeweller Bulgari reconfirmed its eminence and brand presence in Hong Kong with the opening of the new flagship store. Situated on Tsim Sha Tsui’s Canton Road, a thoroughfare home to some of today’s leading luxury retailers and Hong Kong’s premier shopping centers, Bulgari’s latest establishment truly attests to its prestige, Italian roots and spirit of excellence. The new store occupies a total surface of 280m² on a single level, with an imposing and unique façade of 150m².

The new flagship store was officially inaugurated with a ribbon cutting ceremony presided over by Mr. Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari, and Mr. Antoine Pin, Country Managing Director of Greater China & Australia of Bulgari, who was accompanied by Bulgari brand ambassadors Mr. Luke Evans and Ms. Shu Qi, as well as Ms. Canis Lee, Assistant Director and General Manger of Harbour City Estates Limited (Retail Leasing & Business Development).

The new boutique boasts a majestic interior designed by renowned architect Peter Marino, who was commissioned to refurbish Bulgari’s historic flagship store on Rome’s via dei Condotti 10 in celebration of the brand’s 130 years of teeming success. Peter Marino has imbued the space with a sense of modernity whilst retaining the boutique’s existing decor and character created by Florestano di Fausto, the mastermind behind transforming Bulgari’s distinctive facade during its expansion from 1933 to 1934. Though many facets of the boutique have been restored to their original state, Peter Marino has also incorporated new marble and wood furnishings into his design concept, which were selected due to their resemblance to similar materials used in Ancient Rome.
