Burt's Bees Wild Recipes - save the honeybees!
Those magical fuzzy little flower-hopping life-bringers function as a buzzing alarm system for our planet's ecosystem. A third of what we eat is made possible by bees. Oranges, chocolate, pumpkins, apples, carrots, tomatoes, garlic and cherries are just a few foods that rely upon pollination to grow and reproduce. The consequence of a dying bee population impacts man at the highest levels on our food chain, posing an enormously grave threat to human survival.
Burt's Bees support our buzzing friends with many wonderful projects that promote honeybee health and sustainable agriculture. This year, Burt’s Bees will kick off a “Save the Honeybees” Campaign in the Asia Region dedicated to the world’s rapidly declining bee population. As part of this initiative, Burt's Bees is introducing Wild Recipes: a gastronomical celebration of our industrious, indispensable insect friends, without which our favourite meals would simply not be possible.
Burt's Bees collaborated with the chef whose resturant serves dishes prepared with ingredients picked fresh from the garden to create these delicious, bee-friendly recipes. The Wild Recipes priced HK$ 78 will be available at designated Burt’s Bees stores in mid-January for a worthy cause. All the proceeds raised without deducting any cost will be contributed to the partnership with existing roof top farms for the installation of beehives on commercial buildings to create a thriving bee habitat in Hong Kong.
