National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Suzhou embroidery painting promotion

Suzhou Embroidery Painting rank first in the fourth of the Famous Embroidery in China, a delicate technique of expression, it was well-known because of the realistic and fine embroidery technique. The Suzhou Embroidery painting design pattern is beautiful with gentle color, detailed embroidery by using flexible needle, created a vivid image. There are 8-core needle skills feature including “embroidered face flat, bright color, neat pattern edge, fine lines uniform, consistent density, appropriate color arrangement, smooth wire arrangement, delicate needle and fine Spiraea, compact arrangement of lines.”Moreover, there are over 10 basic Stitches in Suzhou Embroidery including parallel stain stitch, Block Shading  Stitch, Long and Short Stitch , network Embroidery, Yarn Embroidery. Used needle instead of pen, accumulated bit by bit. 

Suzhou Embroidery Painting themes are widespread including flowers, animals, character and landscape. Suzhou Embroidery arts & crafts are Embroidery skills by using the embroidery needle with different color lines. Depending on the designed patterns and color of the Suzhou embroidery painting, embroidered on the fabric of nylon, silk, satin and cotton. And a lifelike image artworks formed. Suzhou is a famous arts & crafts in China. Embroidery painting has a long history and well-known, it was listed as National Intangible Cultural Heritage in China since 2006. Suzhou embroidery painting is divided into single-sided and double-side embroidery including traditional delicate embroidery, simulation embroidery and random embroidery to express different effects.

“National Intangible Cultural Heritage of Suzhou embroidery painting promotion” will hold on 15th and 16th April 2016 at Wanchai China Resources Building Branch, Chinese Arts & Crafts was honored to invite Master of Arts & Crafts in Suzhou, Mr. Fu Jian to demonstrate Suzhou embroidery at Wanchai shop, to letting our guests to experience the profound history and culture of China and widen their horizon.

A Silk Embroidery - Guanyin of Moon

Miss. Wang Li Hua, Master of Arts & Crafts in Jiangsu Province

Embroidered the materials from a figure of 33 Mercy Buddha, Guanyin sitting rely on the stone and doing meditation, holding a willow and vase, watching on the running water with light and shadow. It is a picture of a clean and bright moon, clear water with fresh and delicate fragrance. The metaphor of the moon reflected on the lake is the theory of Buddha Dharma,  

Guanyin wearing crown with semi-closing eyes, she looks dignified and kindly, elegant and graceful. Gorgeous apparel with necklace, armbands, and a circle shaped light behind the Guanyin. The picture combined the use of both Chinese and Western painting and also a Silk Embroidery art. Used of an intersect needle and flat needle technique. The Guanyin inside the picture has delicate and shinny skin, apparel and accessories textured are bright. Apparel pine hangs down and looked elegant. It has showed the art of embroidery charm.  

A Silk Embroidery Lotus

Miss. Chen Cai Ping, Master of Arts & Crafts in Suzhou 

Lotus is the theme of these two pictures; colors are bright and proper matched. An ordered composition makes people feels clam. A Master with skillful needle technique presents a lifelike bird to audience. A bright color creates a gorgeous atmosphere.

 

A Silk Embroidery Stallion

In Chinese Culture, stallion equal to the meaning of vigorous, victory and success. Master of the Silk Embroidery used a unique color to highlight the outline of the stallion. A detailed needle technique highlights the dynamic of the delicate stallion hair and the bright luster of the natural variation.
