Masterworks: Mozart & Strauss

Mozart’s Vienna was fascinated by Turkish culture, and he enriched his music with its colours and rhythms – both the Turkish Concerto and Abduction from the Seraglio. Strauss also conjured up the exotic in his bewitching fairytale, Die Frau ohne Schatten, and of course in Salome’s notorious Dance of the Seven Veils.
