The Spa at Base Camp, Kerry Hotel Hong Kong

The Kerry Hotel Hong Kong’s The Spa at Base Camp is one of the city’s newest luxury spas. The hotel itself is rapidly gaining a reputation as an urban resort, and its spa certainly offers the touch and feel of one. Tastefully decorated in natural earthen colours, the spa, with its theme “Back to Basics”, aims to provide guests with refined massage and beauty treatments to remove stress and tension and improve well-being.

Our therapist was highly professional and attentive, her demeanour warm and friendly and she quickly made us feel at home. We opted for the Signature Asian Blend Massage ($950/$1300/$1720 for 60/90/120 minutes respectively) which combines various traditional techniques including Thai pressure points, Balinese and Malaysian strokes and Chinese energy flows, to relax the body and restore its energy balance. The spa offers a rare, special Oolong from ZENTS aromatic oil for its treatment – a blend of lavender, lime and oolong tea which is highly recommended. The massage was applied at just the right pressure for us – medium to firm, and it wasn’t long before our body began to relax and respond to the skilful strokes of the therapist.

The spa also offers Relaxing Aromatherapy Massage ($950/$1300/$1720 for 60/90/120 minutes respectively), a Swedish massage treatment with a blend of aromatic oils chosen to suit individual needs, which is also recommended.
