The First Overseas Branch of “SHIBUYA109” to be launched at Harbour City
Tokyu Malls Development Corporation (hereinafter, “TMD Corporation”), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tokyu Corporation, has finalized an agreement with Harbour City Estates
Limited that the first overseas branch of “SHIBUYA109” to be launched at Harbour Cityin Tsim Sha Tsui. The launching date has been tentatively scheduled for autumn 2015.
Tokyu Corporation has revealed two corporation’s visions through its short to medium term management plan: 1) The realization of “Making Shibuya the most popular town for visit in Japan for visiting: Shibuya” and 2) The creation of business opportunities in emerging Asian countries with promising economic growth.
Making use of the launching of the first overseas branch this time, TMD Corporation expects to promote the genuine “SHIBUYA109” fashion culture through Hong Kong taking Asian region as a Center to increase its popularity and brand power all over the world.
With its location in Tsim Sha Tsui, Harbour City is renowned as the most prosperous commercial complex in Kowloon Peninsula, constantly flooded with tourists and office workers. Its enormous commercial facilities and sales power are ranked second to none in Hong Kong as wellas in Asia. The first overseas branch will not be only marked as a symbol representing SHIBUYA area but also bear the responsibility of showing the global view of “SHIBUYA109” which has always been the pioneer of the Japan fashion culture, in order to increase its popularity and the its brand power, and thus facilitate the inbound effect back to Shibuya.
